1908 London Olympics

Here is a picture from the 1908 London Olympics. The athlete in the picture is a Christian, and he is carrying a Bible. (No, this athlete is not the famous Eric Liddell from the "Chariots of Fire" movie; the Olympics at which Liddell won his medal took place in Paris sixteen years later.)

Ad Fontes

It is too light a thing for you to be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel; I will give you as a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth. (Isaiah 49:6)

I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. (John 11:25-26)

For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. (Romans 11:36)

Now unto Him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy; to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, now and forever. (Jude 24-25)
